biography

Sherry Quiambao is an Australian-Filipina artist based in Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. Her multidisciplinary practice spans photography, video, sculpture and installation, often using everyday objects to explore memory, cultural heritage, aspiration and consumerism. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including in the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia and Japan.

Recent exhibitions include de-centre re-centre at Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery with Perth Centre for Photography as part of Perth Festival (2025), Veiled in Bloom at Michael Reid Northern Beaches (2025), and Veiled in a Golden Hue at Goolugatup Heathcote (2024). In 2025, Quiambao received the First Time Finalist Award in the National Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery and was a finalist in the National Still Life Award and the City of Joondalup Invitation Art Prize. She is a recipient of the Minderoo Artist Fund (2026).
