A path of fleeting dreams. (trailer)
'Veiled in a Golden Hue' explores consumerism through the personal lens of family history. In this exhibition, artist Sherry Quiambao reflects on her mother’s 1980 migration from the Philippines to regional Australia, examining the interplay between personal ambitions and the societal forces that drive us toward continuous acquisition.
Directed, designed and produced by Sherry Quiambao. In collaboration with Emma Fishwick and Apurva Gupta, performed by Keana Mislang with sound composition by Tom Lee.
The artist acknowledges the support of the State of Western Australia through the DLGSC. This project was developed in residency at Fremantle Arts Centre.
